The Disgruntled Southerner

Hey, guys, I'm the newly added contributor to this blog. In my contributions, you will see many different things, whether poetry, music, comedy, stories, or just writing about my current emotions. I want my posts to be encouraging and uplifting, but at the same time, poking fun at some things I don't agree with. In a loving way of course.

I'm a born again Christian, extremely conservative, capitalist, cat fanatic, though I love dogs as well. I'm also a former Muslim and now an opposing force to this twisted ideology. I pray I can bring more Muslims to Christ by showing them the things I was shown to finally cry out to Jesus. I'm a straight white male! O, the Patriarchy!!!

My name is Dwayne Eric McLeod and I hail from the Midlands of South Carolina. I will also talk about southern culture and how much I love being a southerner, being in the south for the entirety of my life. Sweet tea, boiled peanuts, guns! I love everything the beautiful south has to offer!

I'm a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic. I was diagnosed at the age of 18. I'm med compliant and stable. I tried to take my life at 19 over a girl that didn't even love me, but I have since moved on at the age of 30 now. I have a wonderful family, friends.

I enjoy to write, read books, learn, watch television, play video games occasionally, listen to and make music, draw.

I love animals, cats and dogs especially. I have my 11 year old Bengal Julian who I've had for over 10 years. As much of a pain in the butt as he is, he's my best friend and I love him dearly.

I want to thank my sister for allowing me the opportunity to contribute on this blog. She's a great big sister and I love her dearly.

I'm also a mama's boy and love my mom dearly. Growing up wasn't always easy but she made it all worth it.

Well, I guess that's it for now. I want to thank our readers and I'll be adding more content as much as possible. I hope to bring a fun and entertaining presence to this wonderful blog and hope to gain followers.

Also, if you've come from my previous blogs, I plan on shutting those down and becoming a full time blogger on this page. I can't be keeping more than one blog because I end up neglecting the others, and I want to put my full focus here. I just started a poetry blog today, and as much fun as I had creating the layout and getting it ready, I don't want it to interfere with my time on this blog. So all content, past, present and future, will be added slowly to this blog. I plan on focusing more on the new though. I like keeping things fresh. I'll add some of my humorous comic strips as well!
